The Sunday lunch was fantastic, with tender lamb and beef that melted in my mouth, and the generous portions left us fully satisfied.
Parking is quite limited and the access point is narrow, which can be challenging if you have a larger vehicle.

It was reasonably priced. Had great stay for the weekend during Wales Comic Con. The location couldn't be more marvellous and unbeatable close to where we wanted to visit the Llangollen canal. Had perfect and appetising meal in the restaurant.

The staff was attentive throughout my stay.
The room was ridiculously cold at night, and the bed was just two twins that weren't even properly joined. On top of that, the damp patches in the bathroom were really unappealing, and it seemed like they didn't care to clean those properly. To make matters worse, breakfast on Saturday didn't start until 9 am, which really rushed my morning plans.

Fantastic and lovely staff onsite.

missingWrote a review on 04 Novcomfortable roomtea selectionlimited parking
The room offered decent comfort for a night's stay. A complimentary tea selection would've been appreciated for that extra touch of comfort.
Limited parking meant navigating a tight squeeze, especially for larger vehicles. The bright green fire alarm light was more distracting than it should have been, and the window security could use some attention. Plus, the shared bathroom could be an inconvenience for those looking for more privacy .

Had a great one-night stay at the Red Lion! The pub grub was delicious, especially the mixed grill, and the staff were super friendly. Definitely need to fix that broken chair in the bar, though. A lovely experience!

Great place with its great wi-fi, off-site car park, and friendly bar area. On my first stay, staff helped me find lost car keys. I highly recommend it for a comfortable stay. I'm coming back for a business trip.

The family room was super comfy and quiet since it was in its own little unit away from the pub. The room was spacious, nice. The bathroom could've used some updates, but it worked fine.

This was just a well-suited match for a short stayover in Ellesmere with value for price. The friendly barman was really helpful and made sure we felt comfortable after our long hike. If you fancy a drink, the cask ale is in good condition, give it a try.
